Challenge The Norm Virtual Cycle Challenge - Virtual Cycle Challenge #CTNCycle
This November we bring you the Challenge The Norm Virtual Cycle Challenge for 2018! Now don't worry you don't have to cycle the entire distance in one go! All you need to do is pick one of the challenges below and cycle that distance over the month of November!
London to Peterborough - 86 miles
London to Derby - 156 miles
London to Liverpool - 221 miles
London to Dublin - 288 miles
(These distances are approximates and the minimum required to complete the challenge.)
Doesn't matter how long or short each cycle is it just needs to add up to at least the total amount chosen by the end of the challenge! You can take part either using an exercise bike or similar at your gym or using your bike outside. Once you have completed the distance simply email your evidence to firstname.lastname@example.org - simple!
Can I count spin classes towards my distance?
We understand that a lot of spin classes don't use bikes that are capable of showing a distance covered in a session. Due to the complexity of working and tracking this we have decided that 10 minutes of spin will equal 7KM in this challenge.

When is the virtual cycle?
Between the 1st and 30th November 2018
How do I log/track my cycling?
You can log your cycling in anyway you see fit. There are many great apps out there such as Strava, Garmin & Runkeeper (have a look on your phones app store!) We just ask that you submit your cycling evidence by 1pm on the 14th December in order for us to get your medal sent out to you ASAP!
What do I get for completing the cycle?
You get one of our awesome medals to add to your collection! We also have a range of clothing and scarves especially designed for this cycle that you can purchase here.
Why are you doing this?
We strongly believe in the benefits of physical exercise not only for physical well being but also mental wellbeing. We want to bring people together to start and continue the conversation about mental health.
Mind was chosen as the charity we wanted to support with this initiative as it's a cause that is very close to the directors hearts and does great work promoting mental wellbeing and providing support. For more information on the work Mind do please see their website here - https://www.mind.org.uk/
How does this help Mind?
For each person that enters we will donate a minimum of 50% of our profit to Mind. Simply put the more people that enter the lower the cost of the medals we are providing so we can donate more to Mind. So please enter and share with friends, family and fellow cyclists!
Please note this run isn't endorsed or run by Mind. It's run by us, from our own initiative to support Mind.
Keep up the conversation
We love seeing your journey, progress and your runs. Use the hashtags #ChallengeTheNorm & #CTNCycle to share your journey, keep updated and to see how everyone else is doing!
